It takes
a lot of volunteers to make BB&T's Party in the Park
happen for
seventeen consecutive weeks. That's why each year at BB&T's
Party in the
Park there are five non-profit organizations selected that help
EventZone by
providing volunteers and also spreading the word about this great
concert
series. For their support and help, each of the non-profit organizations
will receive 10% of the net proceeds from the 2008 concert series.
It's
just another way that EventZone supports the Roanoke community
- but we
certainly could not provide this support if it weren't for the
18,000+
persons who will come and enjoy BB&T's Party in the Park
this summer - this
truly is a "Party With A Purpose."
Since the 2005 Party in the Park, EventZone has donated $38,285
to local
non-profit organizations. These partnering groups have included:
Mental
Health Assoc., Arts Council, JASON Project @ Blue Ridge Public
TV, Downtown
Learning Center, CASA, Juvenile Diabetes, Jefferson Center,
Downtown Music
Lab, St. Francis Assisi Dog Service, Roanoke Symphony, Boys & Girls
Club,
New Horizons Health and Mill Mountain Theater.
